Edgar Aponte

Edgar Aponte serves as IMB’s vice president of mobilization. He previously served as director of Hispanic leadership development and professor of theology at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to SEBTS, Aponte served as Minister Counselor at the ministry of foreign affairs in Washington, D.C., on behalf of his home nation, the Dominican Republic. In addition to undergraduate and graduate degrees in business, he earned a Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. in Theological Studies from SEBTS.

Can children attend CROSS CON with attendees or volunteer?

Our hope is to focus on God’s Word during CROSS CON, and therefore we ask that you find outside arrangements for childcare. If that’s not possible, children are welcome to attend, but they must pay for registration. If you have an infant that will share your seat the entire conference, you don’t have to register them. However, infant carriers cannot take up seating or encroach the aisles, and you must park strollers in a designated, unguarded room at the Convention Center. Please be aware we will not have family accommodations (e.g., nursing mother’s room and changing room).

Will there be a livestream?

Yes, we plan to livestream the main sessions at crosscon.com.

Are meal and hotel costs included in my registration?

No. A ticket for CROSS only pays for your admittance into the conference. You need to secure your own lodging, though specially negotiated hotel rates are available near the venue.
